New LHV combinations strengthen H.Z. Logistics’ sustainable transport fleet
In recent weeks, H.Z. Logistics has put new LHV combinations (Longer and Heavier Vehicle Combination or so called EcoCombi) into service. These vehicles are fully finished in the recognizable H.Z. Logistics corporate style and represent a valuable addition to our transport fleet.
Our fleet already included 7 LHV combinations:
3 tractor/trailer/trailer combinations
4 combinations with motor vehicle/trailer
In the coming period, this number will be further expanded with:
4 additional motor vehicle/trailer combinations
8 tractor/trailer/trailer combinations
With this, the number of LHV combinations within H.Z. Logistics will grow significantly in the near future.
With these LHV vehicles, we can transport considerably more volume per trip. As a result, fewer transport movements are required, which ensures more efficient transport and lower CO₂ emissions. Where normally three standard combinations are needed, the same load can often be transported with two LHV combinations. In addition, the tractor units in these combinations feature a smart solution: they supply electric power to the trailer refrigeration units, allowing them to cool electrically during transport instead of using diesel.
A large proportion of these LHV combinations are deployed on daily scheduled services to Germany, where volume and reliability play an important role. Thanks to the increased load capacity, we can transport more goods per trip on these fixed routes. This contributes to reliable delivery times, tight transport planning, and a further reduction in the number of transport movements. For our customers, this means an even more sustainable and efficient logistics solution for their shipments to Germany.
With the deployment of these LHV vehicles, H.Z. Logistics is taking another step towards further increasing the sustainability and optimization of transport. This is a development we are proud of and which contributes to future-proof logistics.
